![]() ![]() Single player consists of developer made "Showcase" missions (standalone missions), time trials and firing drills, a tutorial section, a "VR Arsenal" where you can try out weapons and vehicles (even DLC stuff you don't own), and a full campaign. You can do whatever you want with these resources. It's also a sandbox - you get huge maps (1 to 270 km 2 across Arma games, Arma 3 officially has Altis, Stratis and now Tanoa with the Expansion) and a mission editor for making single player and multiplayer missions. I thought it's a good enough reason to make this post - Arma offers a fantastic combined arms military shooter experience, but it only really shines if you join a community (or "Unit" as they're sometimes called) or if you have a bunch of friends to play with.Īs someone who's spent two years and 777 hours playing the game, here's a (hopefully) brief guide regarding the game.Īt it's core, it's a first person shooter.
